Tahche and FFF Inspire Change Against Teenage Pregnancy Through the Girl Power Christmas Futsal Festival in Bulua
December 21-22, 2025, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines — The “FFF-Tahche Girl Power Christmas Futsal Festival” concluded with resounding success, providing a platform for young girls to showcase their sport talent while addressing the pressing issue of teenage pregnancy in Northern Mindanao.
Last December 2024, Tahche partnered with Friends of Female Footballers (FFF) to sponsor a two-day Futsal competition at the Bulua National High School Gym. In doing so, they provided young Filipino women a chance to engage in structured, disciplined activities in the hopes of providing them with the direction and guidance needed to veer away from unwanted teenage pregnancy.
This is in the face of a troubling trend in Northern Mindanao, where around 30 teenage pregnancies are reported daily. Through the futsal festival, girls were able to focus on self-improvement and connect with positive role models. Sports, as event organizers highlighted, can serve as a powerful tool to steer youth toward healthier decisions.
The festival brought together nearly 60 teams from Mindanao and the Visayas, with girls playing for a wide range of age categories. Over two days of intense futsal matches, participants displayed extraordinary skill, determination, and teamwork.
Dedication to Making a Difference
Tahche’s involvement in the festival underscores its broader commitment to Filipino communities. Beyond its role as a first-class service provider in offshore recruitment, the company has consistently invested in programs that drive positive change.
This initiative is just one of the ways Tahche gives back. From partnerships with Habitat for Humanity Philippines to supporting educational initiatives, the company continues to demonstrate its dedication to uplifting Filipinos, particularly in Mindanao, where CEO Bryan Luoma has personal ties.
A Celebration of Community and Hope
The festival culminated in an awards ceremony, celebrating the athletes’ achievements and emphasizing the importance of teamwork and perseverance.
Special shout out to local football clubs, such as Lumbia Raptors FC and Bulua Strikers FC, who played a crucial role in organizing and inspiring participants.
Looking Forward
Tahche’s sponsorship of the “FFF-Tahche Girl Power Christmas Futsal Festival” marks the beginning of what could be a lasting partnership with Friends of Female Footballers and local organizations. Plans are already underway to expand the initiative, ensuring that more young girls in the Philippines can benefit from opportunities like this.
A Call to Action
The success of the FFF-Tahche Girl Power Christmas Futsal Festival is a reminder of the impact of collective effort. Tahche invites more partners to join in empowering Filipino youth, proving that when communities come together, real change is possible.
