Tahche Leaders Step into New Roles at PICPA-Cebu Toastmasters Club
On August 11, 2024, Tahche celebrated a proud moment as two of its key leaders, Amylene Sy (Country Manager) and Ferdinand Ang (Finance Controller), were inducted into the PICPA-Cebu Toastmasters Club. Adding to the excitement, Xenia Lagarnia, Tahche’s HR Consultant, was appointed as the new club president. This event marks the beginning of an exciting chapter as Tahche’s leaders enter the world of public speaking and leadership development, setting the stage for the eventual creation of a Tahche Toastmasters Club.
Toastmasters International, founded in 1924, is a nonprofit educational organization that has helped millions build their confidence and communication skills through a global network of clubs. The PICPA-Cebu Toastmasters Club, aligned with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), is dedicated to helping professionals in Cebu sharpen their public speaking abilities and develop leadership skills.
With Amylene and Ferdinand now actively involved, Tahche’s leadership is gaining valuable experience that will soon benefit the entire company. Their engagement with the Toastmasters community is a natural fit, offering opportunities to enhance communication, leadership, and mentorship—skills that resonate deeply with Tahche’s goals.
Building on this momentum, Tahche hosted its first group of employees at a session with PICPA-Cebu Toastmasters Club members on August 16. The event featured an orientation about Toastmasters, giving participants a taste of what the club offers. Some employees even had the chance to step up and speak during Table Topics, an impromptu speaking challenge that tested their ability to think quickly and communicate effectively.
This initial experience provided our team with a glimpse into the empowering environment of Toastmasters and the personal growth it inspires. As Tahche gears up to establish its own Toastmasters Club, this early involvement is laying the groundwork for a dynamic, supportive space where employees can continue to grow and thrive.
With Amylene Sy and Ferdinand Ang now part of the PICPA-Cebu Toastmasters Club, and Xenia leading as president, Tahche is poised for exciting developments in the world of public speaking and leadership. The recent orientation for our employees is just the beginning as we look forward to building our very own Tahche Toastmasters community.
